These Author Terms ("Terms") outline the rules and responsibilities for individuals and entities ("Authors") who upload and sell digital content, such as templates, scripts, and other resources, on TemplateHive ("Platform"). By participating as an Author, you agree to these Terms.

1. Eligibility

To become an Author on TemplateHive, you must:

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Becoming an author is free.
• Have the legal authority to enter into these Terms.
• Own or have the rights to distribute the content you upload to the Platform.

2. Content Guidelines

• Original Work: All content uploaded must be your original work or work for which you hold the necessary rights and licenses. You must not upload or sell content that infringes on the intellectual property rights of others.
• Quality Standards: Content must meet the quality standards set by TemplateHive. This includes proper coding practices, design quality, and overall usability.
• Prohibited Content: You are prohibited from uploading content that is illegal, harmful, or otherwise inappropriate for the Platform.

3. How Selling Your Items Works

• License: When you sell an item on TemplateHive, you're making your item available for buyers and downloaders to use under certain conditions; you’re not actually selling the item itself. What you’re selling includes a license directly to the buyer or downloader to use that item under the relevant license options that we set. • Item Support: You can choose whether or not to support certain items. If you choose to support an item, this will be identified on the item page. All supported items include a support period. Buyers can purchase support extensions on these items. To understand item support, such as what items are covered and the support period, see the item support policy page.
• Pricing and Revenue: The total price for an item on TemplateHive is made up of:
  • Item Price: Includes a license fee for the chosen license, and if relevant, an item support fee.
  • Buyer Fee: A fee paid to TemplateHive for the services provided to buyers.
  • Handling Fee: In some transactions, a handling fee may be added to the total checkout price.
  • Taxes: Some transactions may be subject to tax that may be added to the price. The list price is made up of the item price and buyer fee, and is the price displayed on the item page. See TemplateHive's Terms of Service for more information about all the components of the total price.
• Exclusivity: When you become an author, you can choose to make your items and related items available exclusively on TemplateHive or retain the ability to sell your items elsewhere. The percentage of revenue you receive from each sale of your item will vary depending on your choice. You can change your exclusivity status at any time. 4. Payments

• Revenue Share: TemplateHive will deduct a commission from each sale made through the Platform. The remaining revenue will be paid to you according to the payment schedule.
• Payment Schedule: Payments to Authors will be made monthly, provided the earnings meet the minimum payout threshold. Payments are processed via the method you choose when setting up your Author account.

5. Taxes

You are responsible for paying any taxes applicable to your earnings from the sale of content on TemplateHive. We may deduct taxes where required by law and will provide you with the necessary documentation.

6. Content Removal

TemplateHive reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms, our Terms of Service, or other applicable policies. You may also choose to remove your content at any time; however, any existing licenses sold to customers will remain valid.

7. Account Termination

TemplateHive may terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or harm the Platform's reputation. Upon termination, any unpaid earnings may be forfeited at our discretion.

8. Support and Updates

• Customer Support: As an Author, you are expected to provide reasonable support to customers who purchase your content. This includes responding to queries and addressing issues related to your content.
• Updates: You are responsible for maintaining and updating your content to ensure it remains functional and relevant.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold TemplateHive harmless from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from your breach of these Terms, your content, or your violation of any laws.

10. Amendments

TemplateHive reserves the right to amend these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes, and your continued use of the Platform will constitute acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States of America in Delaware. Any disputes arising out of or related to these Terms or your use of TemplateHive will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in the state of Delaware.
